Nigerian artists Tems, Burna Boy, and Buju(BNXN) have been mentioned on Barack Obama’s Summer Playlist for 2022.
This was disclosed by the Former U.S President Tuesday night on his Twitter page.
The Playlist included 44 songs from different artists around the globe. The songs by the chart-topping Nigerian artists on the list include ‘Vibe Out’ by Tems, Burna Boy’s ‘Last Last’, and ‘Finesse’ by Buju(BNXN).
According to the tweet by Barack Obama, his annual playlist is an example of how music brings us all together.
“Every year, I get excited to share my summer playlist because I learn about so many new artists from your replies—it’s an example of how music really can bring us all together. Here’s what I’ve been listening to this summer. What songs would you add?”
Recall that Burna Boy had also made Obama’s 2019 summer playlist with his song ‘Anybody’. Rema had also been on the 2019 list with his song ‘Iron Man’.
Other international artists on the Playlist include Drake, Beyoncé, Kendrick Lamar, Koffee, Maggie Rogers, Amber Mark, and several others.
