Senator Ekweremadu and Wife Charged With Organ Harvesting of Homeless Child


Two Nigerians, identified as Senator Ekweremadu and his wife, have been arrested in London and charged with attempted organ harvesting of a homeless child.

This occurred in the early hours of 23rd June and the two were apprehended by the Metropolitan Police. According to the police report, the two have been charged with conspiring to bring a child into the UK for the sole purpose of harvesting his organs.

The 15-year-old child, whose identity has not been revealed, is reportedly being safeguarded by the Metropolitan Police.

“The investigation was launched after detectives were alerted to potential offences under modern slavery legislation in May 2022. A child has been safeguarded and we are working closely with partners on continued support. As criminal proceedings are now under way we will not be providing further details.”

Senator ekeremadu and wife arrested charged

The accused Senator Ekweremadu and his wife, Beatrice Nwanneka Ekweremadu, were to be presented before the Uxbridge Magistrates’ Court later yesterday, the 23rd of June.

Prosecutor Damla Ayas told the court: “In respect of these offences the (UK) Attorney General’s consent is required and the Crown require 14 days for that to be obtained.”

The case has been adjourned to the 7th of July due to jurisdiction issues and both individuals have been denied bail.
