Nigerian Rapper Olamide’s babymama, Maria Okan, has finally reacted to the alleged claims that she had been paid N2m to abort her pregnancy in 2019.
According to the MTV Shuga actress, she was never paid such an amount to abort her pregnancy by the rapper.
Maria made this revelation via her Twitter page on Monday 5th of September while announcing her new job at the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) in the United Kingdom.
Recall that Maria and Olamide were reported to have been in a relationship in 2019. However, they called it quits and she moved to the UK after she found out the rapper was still seeing his ex. Meanwhile, the MTV Shuga actress was pregnant at the time.

Rumors soon followed that she had been paid off by Olamide to abort the child.
Maria kept her child and after 3 years she has come to speak on the rumors. In a series of tweets shared on Monday, Maria restated that she was never paid for an abortion.
“Good morning 😊 I was never OFFERED, I never ASKED, nor did I RECEIVE money to murder a child. I heard that story for the 1st time when you all did – when I was 8 months🤰🏾 You say I made the wrong choice to carry life, and I should’ve opted for murder? Pele. I love motherhood. “
The rapper’s babymama also explained that she had chosen to ignore the comments at the time because she had a high-risk pregnancy and was focused on delivering her child.
