President Buhari has revealed that he is excited and eager to hand over the office to the next president.
Buhari said after the end of his administration one year from now he would retire to his Daura home in Katsina, not Kaduna, where he has a bigger house.
The president expressed this while tending to certain legislative heads of the All Progressives Congress (APC), lawmakers, and political pioneers who visited him at his home in Daura, Katsina State, on Monday, July 11, 2022.
President Buhari said he has not been able to go to Daura because of his devotion to the matters of the country so he will retire to Daura instead of Katsina.
Furthermore, he had raised his hands in surrender saying he can’t wait to finally step down and hand over the mantle to someone else, he claims his sacrifices are more than enough and he would like to continue his works until his time is over.
“I am eager to go. I can tell you it has been tough. I am grateful to God that people appreciate the personal sacrifices we have been making,”
“I wish the person who is coming after me the very best”
The President also spoke about the insecurities in the country pointing out that he had more problems from the north than any other region.
