Kylie Jenner and Kim Kardashian Lament Over The New Updates On Instagram

Kylie Jenner and Kim Kardashian have taken to the media to protest against the new updates on Instagram. According to them, Instagram is trying so hard to be like TikTok.

Kim and Kylie are major influencers who use the social platform and both have a combined 686 million followers on Instagram.

The models who are also half-sisters, took to their insta stories to share a message asking Instagram to stop trying to be TikTok.

According to the sisters, Instagram needs to go back to the way it was when it was only just for sharing pictures.

The post read, “Make Instagram Instagram again (stop trying to be TikTok. I just want to see cute photos of my friends). Sincerely, everyone.”

Instagram’s imitation of TikTok isn’t new — Meta, which owns Instagram, has been pushing Reels for months, which itself is a clone product. The platform has since been pushing for more Reels and has even added incentives by paying creators for posting Reels on the platform.

Kylie who is the second most followed person on Instagram with 360 million followers, has revealed her displeasure with the recent updates on the app and this could spell trouble for the platform.

Recall in 2018 Kylie Jenner tweeted that she was no longer using Snapchat following the app’s redesign. Its stock quickly tumbled more than 8% that day. The estimated loss at the time was over $1 billion in market value.

Kim Kardashian who follows closely behind Kylie with 326 million followers on Instagram has also expressed her disappointment in the platform.
