Chelsea second choice goalkeeper, Kepa Arrizabalaga has spoken for the first time since he blazed over a crucial penalty in their 11-10 shoot-out loss to Liverpool in the Carabao Cup final on Sunday, Feb 27th, 2022.
The Spanish goalie replaced Edouard Mendy in the final minutes of extra time in a bid to help his club side take the win over Liverpool on penalties.
However, Kepa failed to reproduce some of his recent heroics and then shockingly blazed his kick wildly over the bar.
The 27-year-old Spaniard says he is “disappointed” but will “keep working”.
“To fall and rise. Disappointed after big effort during the tournament. We keep working.
“Thanks @ChelseaFC family for your support,” Kepa tweeted.
