Johnny Depp has been criticized for going on tour irrespective of the fact that the verdict in his defamation trial against Amber Heard is set to be delivered any day now.
The 58-year-old was seen thrilling fans by performing with musician Jeff Beck at some gigs. His first appearance was on Sunday in Sheffield at the city hall and his second appearance was on Monday in London.
This has caused a lot of criticism as people think he’s showing a lack of concern over the outcome of the defamation trial. One critic whose handle is ‘Steff’ wrote on Twitter: “yeah, performing two nights in a row definitely shows that Depp is traumatized by this trial. definitely. not. “Trolls: ‘he’s moving on with his life, she should too.’ She can’t. She has to wait for a verdict. He’s on tour. It wasn’t about the verdict for him. It was about the opportunity of a trial to further his abuse. Whatever the verdict, he continues freely. She does not.” wrote journalist Eve Barlow.
Some people have defended Depp for his appearances, saying that he probably had it planned, and it may be helping him deal with the events of the last two months.
