Rihanna has been named the youngest self-made billionaire in America by Forbes for the third time in a row.
The Fenty Founder was ranked on Forbes’s annual list of billionaires for the first time in August 2021. At the time she had a net worth of $1.7 billion and ranked 1,729th richest person in the world.
Rihanna has been named on the Forbes list again in 2022, ranking 21st overall with a net worth of $1.4 billion. The 34-year-old is now the youngest self-made billionaire in America.
The singer and entrepreneur is the only billionaire under age 40 on the Forbes list. Next to her is Kim Kardashian who is 41 and has a net worth of $1.8 billion.
Although Rihanna makes a fortune from her music career alone, her ranking on the Forbes list is due to the success of her cosmetic line which she co-owns with French luxury retailer LVMH. Fenty Beauty generated more than $550 million in 2020.
The Barbados-born billionaire also retains 30% shares with a lingerie brand, Savage x Fenty, which raised money at a $1 billion valuation in February 2021.
Rihanna has made a solid name for herself and does not seem ready to back down. The young entrepreneur is likely to continue building her empire as she had previously stated that a number was not enough to stop her success.
