Deborah James Receives Millions Of Pounds For Cancer Research UK


Deborah James was diagnosed with terminal bowel cancer in 2016 and has since then kept her nearly 500,000 Instagram followers up to date with her candid posts about her progress and diagnosis.

The popular presenter of the BBC podcast, “Me, You And the Big C” said in an Instagram post that she had set up the Bowelbabe Fund which has received more than £1.3 million since it was announced.

The podcast host also disclosed on Monday that she has moved to hospice-at-home care to treat her terminal cancer. She said that she didn’t know how long she had left and that while the last six months had been heartbreaking to go through, she has been surrounded by so much love and has no regrets.

The fund’s name echoes her social media handle, Bowelbabe, and is raising funds for Cancer Research UK.
