After a whole week of silence, Singer Burna Boy has finally come forward to speak on the recent accusations against him and his escorts.
Burna Boy was accused of shooting two persons in Cubana nightclub with his police escorts, on the 8th of June. According to the victims who have been identified as Mr. Lawrence and Tolu, Burna Boy made passes at Mr. Lawrence’s wife and opened fire on the two men when he was asked to stop his advances.
The police escorts attached to the singer have since been detained, however, Burna Boy allegedly fled the country immediately after the incident. The Police invitation has been communicated to him to make himself available in Lagos State Police Command, upon his return.

While the Afropop singer is yet to return to the country, he took to his Twitter page on the 15th of June, to post a message which suggested he was not responsible nor remorseful for his actions.
According to Burna Boy, the Nigerian media might as well accuse him of a much worse crime like starting Boko Haram terrorism. Burna Boy says he would not be surprised if that happened.
“Nigerian Social media can say BURNA BOY started Boko haram, e no go shock me.”
The online community did not fail to respond to this. Many in the media demand that he state whether or not he was truly guilty of the allegations. Others urged him to return to the country and defend his case.
