A California judge determined on Monday that there is enough evidence to support a felony stalking charge against a man who was once briefly married to Britney Spears and showed up uninvited at the pop star’s wedding.

According to court records, Ventura County Judge David Worley decided following a two-hour preliminary hearing that Jason Allen Alexander, 40, should be detained to answer the charge as well as misdemeanor counts of trespassing, vandalism, and battery.

Jason Alexander, Spears’s ex-husband, previously pleaded not guilty to the charge as well as to trespassing, battery, and vandalism.
After allegedly interfering with the singer’s plans to marry Sam Asghari, Jason Alexander was apprehended earlier this month and taken to a nearby jail.
Security guard Richard Eubler testified in court that Alexander attempted to enter Spears’ locked bedroom after entering her home.
Alexander was confronted by him, and it was said that they got into a struggle. Alexander had also tried to enter the property in the days before the wedding, he said.
