Nigerian artists Ayra Starr, Lojay, and Zinoleesky, have all been nominated for the 15th Headies award in the Next Rated category.
The Headies is a music awards show in Nigeria that recognizes outstanding performances by artists in the industry. The last Headies Awards saw the likes of Fireboy and Wizkid winning awards. The list of nominations for this year which was released today May 24th included a lot of outstanding artists in the Next Rated category.
The Next Rated award is a category in the Headies that also recognizes the most significant and noteworthy musicians that have contributed tremendously to the industry. It is a most contentious category as nominations are made based on songs released by the artists and the impact they’ve had across the globe.
For this year’s Headies Next Rated, the nominations include the likes of Lojay, Zinoleesky, Ruger, Ayra Starr, and several others. These are all artists that have shown great potential in the past year and have been deemed worthy of the awards. The 2022 Headies award is set to hold on the 14th of September, at the COBB Energy Performing Arts Center in Atlanta, USA
